Our first grade media classes researched animals. Students read nonfiction books, researched online with computers and iPads and then wrote sentences about their animals. Ms. Miner’s 1st grade class and I continued the project with students creating drawings of their animals, and videotaping themselves reading their animal facts. We then helped them type them into pages on the ipads, inserted their video and created a class ebook.  The class then presented them at our “ANIMAL ZOO” held at school and the “April is for Author’s” event.
